EVENT DESCRIPTION
Join ULI Philadelphia and local experts on November 16 for the 2022 Annual Real Estate Forecast. For 43 years, PwC and ULI have jointly undertaken Emerging Trends in Real Estate®, a highly regarded and widely read forecast report. This year’s prediction will be a hybrid event with the ability to attend virtually or in person with proof of vaccination required, allowing colleagues to safely reconnect after a year and a half away.
After the morning program, participants are invited to join a mentoring meeting or have lunch on their own. In the afternoon, join local developers virtually or in person to visit one of four transformative development projects.
We will explore the need for and examples of resilient real estate development and planning as we face a pandemic recovery, and a range of other vulnerabilities, including climate change, health, cybersecurity, infrastructure and the chain. supply. Emerging Trends in Real Estate provide a national perspective on real estate investment, development trends, real estate finance and capital markets, real estate sectors, metropolitan areas and other real estate issues. Our local panelists will discuss how these trends are playing out across the region across all asset classes including life sciences, multi-family and industry.

Join representatives from Wexford Science + Technology, University Place Associates and Brandywine Realty Trust for a tour of Philadelphia’s most prominent submarket and its emerging “downtown” for life sciences and technological innovation. With over 1.5 million square feet of active construction along the Market Street Corridor, the University City’s skyline is changing rapidly and this is just the beginning. The tour will begin with a presentation and tour of the helmet at Wexford’s UCity Square project, and will end with a presentation and visit to Brandywine’s Schuylkill yards, highlighting other major developments along Market Street including Silverstein’s University Place 3.0 and Amtrak’s 30th Street Reimagination Station.
Transform the former PSE refinery into the Bellwether district [Virtual]

Hilco Redevelopment Partners (HRP) initiated a historic transformation in South Philadelphia, transforming the former PES refinery into the Bellwether neighborhood, a 1,300-acre state-of-the-art life sciences, e-commerce and logistics facility. HRP will clean up and transform a relic of the past into green, sustainable development and an economic engine for all of Philadelphia. The District of Bellwether will be a global model of sustainable development and design, connecting the seas, skies, railways and roads of the world with the people and businesses of Philadelphia.
