BOURNE – Bourne police arrested the suspect for a stabbing that took a man to hospital by medical plane on Monday evening.
Agents responded to Clover Paving Co. at 584 MacArthur Blvd. around 5:45 p.m. Monday for a reported stabbing.
Once there, they found the 32-year-old victim with multiple stab wounds to the back and right thigh.
Officers – with the help of a civilian – provided first aid and used QuikClot hemostatic agent to slow the bleeding, which the ministry rated as “important.”
Police said Cory James Johnson, 30, of East Falmouth, had been identified as the suspect involved in the stabbing following an investigation.
Both men were Clover Paving employees and, according to police, had been involved in a verbal and physical fight which ended in Johnson allegedly stabbing the victim twice.
Johnson was found and arrested in Falmouth and charged with assault and battery, assault and battery with a dangerous weapon and assault and battery.
As of this morning, the victim is still in critical condition, the department said.
