Norton V4SV superbike unveiled around the world

Norton Motorcycles, which was acquired by TVS Motor Company last year, claims the V4SV is the most luxurious British superbike ever.

Norton Motorcycles has unveiled its latest product globally called V4SV. The company claims it is the most luxurious British superbike ever. It has two color options – Manx and Carbon.

The Norton V4SV is powered by a 1,200cc liquid-cooled engine capable of producing 185 BHP at 12,500 rpm and 125 Nm at 9,000 rpm. The motorcycle has a full carbon fiber body. Even the 15-liter under-seat fuel tank is also made of carbon fiber and has Kevlar reinforcement.

The frame of the Norton V4SV was designed and manufactured in-house. It has been hand polished to a mirror finish. The tubular aluminum chassis design was developed on the world’s toughest race track, the Isle of Man TT.

Braking functions are supervised by two 330mm front floating discs with radial mount Brembo calipers and a 245mm rear disc. For the suspensions, Norton Motorcycles chose the fully adjustable Ohlins NIX30 system for the Ohlins TTXGP Norton custom front shock absorber.

Highlights of the Norton V4SV feature:

  • Full LED lighting
  • 6 inch color instrument cluster
  • Rear camera (does not replace mirrors)
  • 3 driving modes – Wet, Road and Sport
  • 6-axis inertial measurement unit (IMU)
  • Lean angle sensitive traction control
  • Complete quick change system and automatic alarm

Norton Motorcycles was acquired by TVS Motor Company last year for £ 16million.
