There has been a lot of support for the Carlisle Airport plans.

The businessman whose company the Carlisle Lake District Airport acquired has said he wants regular passenger flights to resume by the summer.
The involved Isle of Man-based company – Ettyl Limited – confirmed last month that it had signed agreements to acquire Stobart Air and Carlisle Lake District Airport from Esken Limited, the group of aeronautical and energy infrastructure.
