Greg Creed, who retired as CEO of Yum! In late 2019, Brands sold his bay-front home on Lido Isle in Newport Beach for the original asking price.

The contemporary-style 3,254-square-foot residence overlooking the harbor and Lido Canal closed on August 31, nine days after hitting the market for $11.5 million.

Property records show Creed and his wife, Carolyn, purchased the home for $3.975 million in March 2013.

The Australian-born businessman has spent more than 40 years in marketing and operations with leading restaurant and consumer packaged goods brands, including spearheading Taco Bell’s “Think Outside the Bun” campaign. and the launch of the Doritos Locos Taco fast food chain.

In 2015, the Creeds rebuilt their waterfront home from the timbers with a new foundation and seawall.

Clad in limestone with ipe wood accents, the two-story home opens to well-proportioned rooms of quality materials and finishes. Oak floors run through the primary level great room, with its limestone fireplace and built-ins.

The dining room opens onto the kitchen. It includes a large central island that can accommodate four people and high-end appliances.

Upstairs, a fireplace warms the master suite. It has two dressing rooms and an adjoining bathroom with two basins, a steam shower and a bathtub.

Folding glass doors open the interior to the waterfront. A private jetty and slipway can accommodate a large boat and Duffy.

Evan Corkett and Steve High of Villa Real Estate listed the property. Aaron and Mendi Khosh of Berkshire Hathaway HomeServices California Properties represented the buyer.
