Dickinson man pleads guilty to slashing woman in dispute

Prosecutors say a Broome County man will face jail after he admitted to cutting a woman with a knife.

Dillon Thomas, 31, of the town of Dickinson, pleaded guilty in Broome County Court to attempted second-degree assault.

According to the district attorney’s office, Thomas was involved in a domestic dispute with a 39-year-old woman on January 13.

A press release says Thomas used a knife causing a cut on the woman’s hand that required stitches. He was apprehended later that day by Broome County Sheriff’s Deputies.

Thomas should be sentenced to 1½ to 3 years in state prison. Judgment is scheduled for November 1.

To learn more about how gas prices have changed over the years, Stacker calculated the cost of a gallon of gas for each of the past 84 years. Using data from the Bureau of Labor Statistics (released April 2020), we analyzed the average price of a gallon of regular unleaded gasoline from 1976 to 2020 along with the Consumer Price Index (CPI ) for regular unleaded gasoline from 1937 to 1976, including absolute and inflation-adjusted prices for each year.
