Cortlandville man arrested over child pornography allegations

A Cortland County man is under arrest following a child pornography investigation.

According to a written statement from the New York State Police, investigators from the Bureau of Criminal Investigation (BCI) at the barracks in Homer, New York, worked with the Troop C Computer Crimes Unit and the Internet Crimes Against Child Task Force. An investigation has been opened after an online tip was received by the task force.

Following their investigation, the NYSP says Mason L. Kneedler, 25, of Cortlandville, New York, was arrested on Thursday, June 16, 2022.

The NYSP says, “Kneedler is accused of possessing images consistent with child exploitation.” He is charged with five counts of possession of a sexual performance by a child. The charge is a crime.

No physical injuries were reported as a result of the arrest.

Kneedler is scheduled to answer the charges in Cortlandville City Court on July 11, 2022.
