After the first cancellation of two consecutive Isle of Man TT editions since WWII, dates have been confirmed for the 2022 race.
The 2020 event was canceled due to the coronavirus outbreak in March, with this year’s planned event following suit at the end of last year. But organizers are moving ahead with plans for next year’s races, which run from May 29 to June 11, 2022.
Qualifying will take place over six days between Sunday May 29 and Friday June 3, with races starting on Saturday June 4 and culminating with the fourth race on Friday June 10.
The annual event attracts more than 46,000 people to the Isle of Man per year over the two weeks of competition. While many race participants will have rolled over the accommodation and hotel reservations sought from previous years, the accommodation and transportation packages are now available for booking through Motorsport Tickets. Liverpool ferry crossings during race weeks are now available for booking, with flights expected to be available shortly.
The event will have a new format for 2022, as planned for 2020. Qualifying will take place on the afternoon of Sunday 29 May and Friday 3 June, with evening sessions on the remaining qualifying days.
Eight races have been announced in the provisional calendar, in five classes: Superbike (including the main Senior TT), Sidecar, Supersport, Superstock, Lightweight
